Just a quick tip: The quirky little Redwood Motel is a great little place to spend the night in the middle of nowhere when
you're exploring along Hwy 395 between Reno and Los Angeles. Locally owned by Ed, and the best value in a one-street town with 5 motels. Air, fridge, microwave, clean, and a life-size pinto-pony weathervane.

  • 25 miles NORTH of Lee Vining and Tioga Pass/120
  • 17 miles SOUTH of Highway 108/ Sonora Pass
  • Two hours SOUTH of Reno
  • Just Far enough NORTH of L.A.
