My writing career began in Silicon Valley, working with engineers on mainframe computing, software, and early mobile technologies. I learned to research unfamiliar subjects, draw information from multiple experts, and explain complex ideas clearly.
My work as a travel writer, memoir teacher, and editor brings another perspective: finding the scenes, turning points, and human details that connect an individual experience with a wider audience.
