In today's spotlight for 31 Days of Women in Motorcycling is Jessica Prokup of Yellow Devil Gear Exchange, the latest endeavor in a career that has consistently promoted women in motorcycling. I first met Jessica as a resource and spokesperson at from the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) on emerging markets. Today she is owner of a new retail store in Long Beach, California, that sells new and used motorcycle apparel on consignment.
When she was with the MIC, Jessica founded RockMoto for their Discover Today's Motorcycling communications branch, to get more people on motorcycles the right way: by getting safety training, getting licensed and wearing proper protective gear. Before that, she spent 4 years, 3 of them as Editor, at RoadBike Magazine.
In addition, Jessica has connected professional women in the PowerSports industry by creating the PowerLily group in LinkedIn, to communicate with each other about women-oriented programs, media, events, and other topics.
