Today's star in 31 Days of Women in Motorcycling is Nicole Espinosa. Nicole is an adveneture rider who started her own aftermarket business, Rugged Rider, to design parts and accessories for dual-sport bikes. The focus is on the Suzuki DRZ, her favorite traveling motorcycle.
Nicole and her team, all riders themselves, conceptualize, design, entineer, and fabricate the accessories with local US quality control and personal customer service.
A single mom based in Sherman Oaks, California, Nicole is committed to community service. In 2010 Rugged Rider was involving kids to raise money for Project Long Underwear, "providing long underwear to our troops in Afghanistan who are freezing their butts off."
Nicole is nicomama on ADVRider where she posts ride reports. She also stays in touch with the adventure riding community through motorcycles shows and events like the Overland Expo, where I met the energetic entrepreneur this year. You can keep up to date with Nicole and Rugged Rider on Facebook.
