I spent Saturday at the San Jose Motorcycle Show, 2 hours at the American Motorcyclist Association booth handing out fliers for the Women and Motorcycling Conference (very well received even though it’s going to be in Athens, Georgia next summer) and the rest of the time wandering, looking at the new bikes, schmoozing… I finally met the new owners of Ural America, Irbit Motorworks of America, Inc., (IMA). Talked with Sid Pollard, their East Coast Rep, a lot about the improvements they’ve made. The machines looked great with beautiful new 750cc engines and so many improvements I’ll have to make it another blog topic. It’s a very different machine than the 1994 model I rode around the USA in 1995 on the American Borders journey. More later.
