I talked with Sam Correro, creator of the TransAm Trail, yesterday. He’s excited about completing the Shadow of the Rockies Trail for off-pavement travelers wanting to traverse the USA in a North/South direction. He says it’s a beautiful trail, and easier/flatter than the East/West TransAm trail. "You couldn’t do it on your K750RT," he said, "but on a KLR it would be easy."

Here is the story and photos of my trip a few years ago to ride a Colorado section of the trail with Sam.
