WhirlygigYep, Burning Man is coming up again, and bikes are there in a big way. Most are heavily artified (create a mutant vehicle and get your license at the DMV) but if you’re just riding to the event, unartified, there is still an event for you: The Caustic Mass of the Motorcycle Detail on Thursday, August 28th rides out at 7:00pm sharp from Spike’s Inferno Stage at Center Camp. For more info.

If you’re an airhead (yeah, you know who you are!) there’s probably going to be another airhead theme camp this year though it’s not listed yet. Maybe somebody will send in details.

  • I never quite understood the whole burning man thing! Guess I never smoked enough pot!

  • The Caustic Mass on Thursday was, um, one of the low points of the week for me. It took nearly an hour, was never funny or poignant, and in fact I didn’t understand any of it. But prior to the “mass”, the main dude did inform us that they like to play pranks on people, so I guess taking one hour away from our burn to put us in misery was their idea of a prank.
    Never again.
