I'm home in the San Francisco after my Alps to Atlas journey on a Ural sidecar motorcycle. You can read my dispatches and take a look at my twitter page for reports on this 2009 journey from Linz, Austria to the Sahara desert and back. The trip took me through a range of environments from cold, high mountains to hot, flat deserts in Europe and Morocco. I'm updating the stories and photos as I can and will let you know when new material is available. Thanks for following the adventure!
Last day in the Alps – The Dolomites – before returning the Ural and flying home to San Francisco.

Welcome back. I’m sure your stories are bringing a wealth of information and entertainment back to share with those of us who can only dream of such an adventure. Thank you.
Ride on,
Torch

How did the Canon G10 camera work for you? I’m considering one and have tried using it in the store. It’s a bit bigger than my present CANON Powershot which I really like, but its suffering from being on the end of a neck tether for too many miles.

I enjoy your pics. You have an eye for photography and the biggest smile!
I tried to follow you on Twitter, but I guess I’m not plugged in yet, not like the Iranians! What kind of cell phone service did you use over there?
Anyway, it’s good to have you back safe & sound.
Sorry I haven’t been able to post on your blog for a while…it keep bouncing me off and I felt like a rejected lover…and I cry easily…but then a couple of beers fix everything and all hell break loose.
I will be back commenting and reading every bit you wrote cause you are a Riding Icon.
Welcome home Rider…!
Blessings
