I’ve posted a list of motorcycle travel books I think are worth checking out. At the moment there are about a dozen. The greats are there, of course: Che Guevara’s Motorcycle Diaries, Robert Pirsig’s Zen, and Ted Simon’s Jupiter’s Travels. Melissa Holbrook’s The Perfect Vehicle is listed for the sheer quality of her writing, Helge Pedersen’s for the stunning photographs, Chris Scott’s Adventure Motorcycling for the great advice. Let me know if you’ve got any recommendations and I’ll post them, too. Thanks!

One of the best Motorcycle books IMHO is Ghost Rider from Neill Peart. Excellent adventure riding story, emotional and very well written.
Nice site BTW !!
Hi Mike from Paris! Thanks for the reference to Neil Peart’s Ghost Rider. It’s been on my reading list for a long time.
I highly recommend the book “Ghost Rider,” by Neil Peart. A story of a man who lost his daughter to a car accident, and about 9 months later his wife to cancer, is left with nothing. He takes to the road on his BMW 1150GS, and is gone almost a year and 44,000 miles. Amazing story of his search for healing, and his love for motorcycling.
