I love to ride but I get pretty antsy to get off my bike and walk or do something so I'm going to post some California destination suggestions for locals and you folks who are planning a motorcycle tour of the state, especially my home ground in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Here's one. The Marin Agricultural Land Trust
(MALT) Spring 2009 Hikes and Tours offers stuff for you to do that just happen to be right smack in the middle of some great motorcycling roads.
Especially if you're traveling between San Francisco and
the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country, these are great "road-less-taken" destinations and a
rare chance to meet the locals on their own home turf. Not to mention sampling the fruits of our little corner of paradise here: oysters, cheese, olives, and more.
