Img_karen_2Karen Davidson is in the spotlight for my 31 Days of Women in Motorcycling series today. And yes, she is one of those Davidsons, the great-granddaughter of the company’s co-founder, William A. Davidson, and has been riding motorcycles since she was nine.

Karen started working at Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 1989 when they created a new, branded line of apparel and accessories for its customers – Harley-Davidson MotorClothes. Today, Karen is the Creative Director for General Merchandise and is involved with the creative direction of all the leather collections and accessory products.

Karen seems to always be in the spotlight, from talks at conventions and conferences, to Garage Party events, to leading parades, and rides to Sturgis.

Here's a nice video interview with Karen on BNET on How a Cult Brand is Built on Community, and a YouTube video of Karen talking about women Harley-Davidson riders.
